The issue affecting an elevated latency for API calls made to http://lookups.twilio.com/v1/PhoneNumbers has been resolved, and the service is functioning normally at this time.

Update

We have started seeing recovery for the issue with http://lookups.twilio.com/v1/PhoneNumbers for the last one and half hours, as the excessive requests are now reducing to around normal values for a high demand period accordingly. We will continue to monitor to ensure a full recovery. We expect to provide another update in 30 minutes or as soon as more information becomes available.

Our engineers have identified the issue with more than usual requests messages (flooding) and are working to deploy a fix. Current workaround is to have additional number of hosts deployed. We expect to provide another update in 1-2 hours or as soon as more information becomes available.
